I’ve been kicking around the idea of doing some desktops for your computers, what do you think? Any particular characters? Settings? Special requests? I’ve never done any desktop images, really, and I’d hate to put a bunch of effort into something that no one’s interested in…
of course, they WOULD be color…
Send me an email! Tell me what you think. While you’re at it, vote for HHFM on TWC! We’ve moved all the way up to the high 400’s, so THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for voting!
Remember to share HHFM with your friends. Send them a link and tell them that HHFM is the greatest, bestest most coolest comic you’ve ever read… and it’s free, too. You don’t have to buy a whole newspaper subscription to read it
Sorry for the lack of news posts last week, folks. I came down sick with a headcold. Combine that with spring pollen-allergies and it made for one very horrible-sounding sick-feeling Aleric… but worry not, I still got comics done! This week I’m aiming at getting the Extras section up, and it’ll have all kinds of cool stuff, starting with banners and avatars and more from there.
Heck, I’ll even let you all know when new things are posted to it
I hope you enjoy the new story arc, it’s a bit longer than the last one, but it’s got some great moments, I think.
Don’t forget to vote for HHFM in Top Web Comics (link to the left!) new Incentive image should be up in the morning!! this time it’s some old sketch work for a comic idea.
Update @ 2:13pm
Top Web Comics incentive image has been fixed. My mistake! Sorry, folks!

Some time ago while writing scripts for HHFM, I realized that while World of Warcraft was fun and all, I really couldn’t see me dedicating a long-standing comic to just WoW. Certainly it would be fun, but eventually World of Warcraft would shut down or be replaced, and then the entire comic would be dated. Not to mention inaccessible to more than a few readers out there.
So I decided to branch out a bit. Of course, that could also mean that it becomes a lot more difficult to describe. So now HHFM is a MMO-Gaming-Pop culture-Movie comic featuring an undead human(oid?) named Rossi and an ork named James.
Please remember to vote for HHFM in Top Web Comics (link to the left!) new Incentive image should be up in the morning!!
Now that the raid’s done, I’m sure Rossi thought he’d get some real adventuring done. If you look closely, you might notice one gigantic glaring error. Ok more like a small bespectacled one. One of my readers called me on the continuity issue: (paraphrased to protect the innocent)
gnome…. from where?
Did I miss the comic where he shows up? wtf?
More More More HHFM!
-Jenn
Thanks for pointing that out, Jenn. To be honest, I pulled a comic or two out of the current arc, because I wanted to expand on it more later, but because I’m already working so far ahead of schedule, I totally forgot that I included that little guy standing next to Rossi…
Consequently, we’ve got our first serious continuity error. Congratulations Jenn, you win a gold star for the day! And thanks for the encouragement, I love hearing that people want more!
I know I mentioned that lots of changes are coming to HHFM’s site, and I’m sure you’ve all been terribly disappointed that you actually haven’t seen much change. Let me be the first to tell you that there have actually been a lot of changes… they just happen to be behind the curtain, under the hood, what have you. Trust me, there’s more website and content to come. I do promise you that, so stay tuned.
Finally, HHFM is currently hovering somewhere around 525 on Top Web Comics. Please remember to vote! I loves me mah voterz! You get free jokes and images when you vote. Really! So please remember to clicky the linky, then go tell a friend to read HHFM. It shouldn’t be painful. I have yet to break a finger clicking a link.
We now return you to your regularly scheduled story arc.
Ah, the Bard. So eloquent a writer, his verse has been an inspiration to artists for generations. Although I suspect he’d be clubbing me with a manuscript if he could see what I just did with Hamlet’s soliloquy. On the other hand, considering how much of his verse has been taken out of high school curriculum, maybe he’d actually applaud me for doing my little part to keep his works alive.
So harken friends, and pray attend my words. Methinks it would be a day fine-spent if thou wouldst go and peruse one of his many masterpieces.
…Even if it is the Klingon Hamlet.
One other thing I should mention. It was brought to my attention that I failed to thank someone for their part in getting HHFM off the ground. This person is near and dear to my heart, and I apologize for the oversight: Jamie, thank you for providing such a perfect name for my comic, and for the inspiration that you have provided thus far. Finally, I’m happy to share, I got my first FAN MAIL the other day!! I’m so excited, here’s a little bit of it to share with you all!
Just want to say right now your comic looks promising and a like a good read. I will be following it. Just as an FYI I was the kid with the 40k Dark Templar army talking to you about WoW.
Thanks for the encouragement, Samus! It’s great to hear that people are enjoying my comic… and if you stay tuned long enough, you may even see a comic based on some of the things we chatted about… For the rest of you, let this serve as fair warning! Any positive emails I get may encourage me to make more comics…
…I’m just saying.

I hope you all have gotten your taxes done, Tomorrow’s the last day. I know I need to send some of my tax papers in. Fun times. Sorry for the interruption of the current arc. I just couldn’t resist throwing in this little observation about how many tax day advertisements, reminders, and other things we’re seeing everywhere.
So: No, this comic isn’t JUST about World of Warcraft.
Oh yeah… there’s a new Vote! incentive for this week! Want to see mah werkspace? VOTE! Link is on the left!! After you vote, tell your friends how Aleric is a fantastically funny cartoonist, and that you’re totally addicted to reading Hell Has Found Me. So what if you’re fibbing a little… it’s all for a good cause. Keeping my self esteem from sinking into a swirling black pit of despair.
First time I ever went on a raid in World of Warcraft, I was terrified that it would adversely affect my character. I was so new to MMOs that I barely had any idea what I was doing. Turned out that pvp was thrilling, challenging, and frustrating all at once.
Poor Rossi. I think he’s about to learn the frustrating part.
On a much more interesting note, some of you might know of my Deviantart account, and if you follow it at all you might have noticed that a couple of my speedpaintings were included in the collection of quality art in this news post. Now I know it’s not the Louvre, but I feel incredibly excited and honored to be featured with so many other fine pieces of art, so Thank You, Inqy!!
Lastly, thanks to all of my readers who voted for HHFM on Top Web Comics! We went from below #3700 up to the mid 700s in just a couple of days! So go get some of your friends, get them to read Hell Has Found Me, and then click the vote button on the left sidebar.
