Now, back to your regularly scheduled News Post…

So I wanted to apologize for the late news post, but at least there was a new comic up for you and ready to go on Monday!

I’ve been at Fanime 2008 for the whole weekend, and I must say, it was FANTASTIC. I’ve really enjoyed talking with everyone who came by. I even did a couple of sketches for people, finished 3 comics, promoted Hell Has Found Me and Pretty Darn Quick, got some sketches from, and chatted with Scott Ramsoomair of VG cats and Shawn Handyside of Staccato! Best of all, are all the new readers that I met, the free con-exclusive comics I handed out, the piece of fan art that was given to me, let me tell you, the list just keeps going. I’ll definitely be going back.

All in all, one gigantic can of Awesome.

I also must say I learned a lot, and have made a few decisions… don’t worry, none are bad!

First: I love doing this. I don’t know why I didn’t start earlier. I must be some kind of noob or something.

Second: When I started HHFM, I swore to myself that I wouldn’t get behind, that I wouldn’t miss updates. To that end, I decided that M-W-F updates were totally doable, and I’d start training myself now to upgrade to a 5 per week schedule later. I’m currently over 2 months ahead on comics. (YAY!) Instead of converting over to a 5/week schedule now, I’m going to pull back on producing the comics a little (JUST a little) and get to work on the REST of my art. Don’t worry, I won’t be missing updates: I’m still going to be building my buffer, just a little more slowly than before. This will eventually give me a huge buffer that will give me the time to start making other cool things like shirts, books, stickers and other things you might buy… yes, I need to get out of my work cube

Third: I’m currently planning out what cons I’ll be attending in the future, and the comic I gave away at Fanime was SO successful that I’ll be doing it again. In fact, I’m planning that each con I go to will have a special Con-Exclusive comic that I will hand out for FREE. It means that the comic I handed out over the weekend will NOT be available online, and that if you want to read other Con-Exclusives, you’ll have to come say “hi!” to me.
