Happy Halloween! What are you all going to be for Halloween? I think Rossi is having a bit of an issue. Hopefully, he can figure something out… it’s only two days away!
In other news, in two more updates, there’s something SPECIAL I get to talk about, and no, I don’t mean who’s finally won the Presidency, though, it will be an interesting topic of discussion, to be sure. On the one hand, you’ll have Senator McCain, who’s currently doing his best to ignore the numbers and say he’s going to win. On the other hand, you’ve got Senator Obama, who’s still campaigning as if he was still behind in the polls. Whoever wins will (hopefully) be up to the American people, who are informing the Electoral College how to cast their votes. Lords of Kobol forbid we have a repeat of the 2000 and 2004 elections, where the winner was determined by the Supreme Court.
Democracy by judicial determination is not something I really like the idea of. My point being? GO OUT AND VOTE. Be you an early voter or someone who’s going to line up on Nov 4, just GIT ‘ER DONE.
Oh, and while you’re at it, VOTE for ME, too! A new PDQ went up on Monday.
-oh, what I wouldn’t give for a few more hours in the day.
Cheers everyone! See you Friday!

We all have those moments when some random person online trolls us, dragging us kicking and screaming into some pointless fight or argument, no matter what we do to shut these influences out. Most cases we can’t do anything about it, other than making an attempt to take the moral high ground and not respond. Even then, we sometimes get drawn in.
Is this bizarre kind of one-upmanship something that’s inherent to the human condition? Is it some kind of bred-in behavior? Maybe it’s just a subtle need to justify our existence to ourselves.
Too bad Elise can no longer tune them out…
Been kind of quiet about my plans lately, I’m working on the first 2 Tshirt designs, maybe I can have the prototypes for sale by Christmas. You know, what with the rate of me always doing lots of stuff… don’t worry, I’ll show em to you soon… as soon as I figure out that part of Illustrator
In the mean time, remember to VOTE! There was a new PDQ on Monday!
Sorry about the glitch and late post on Friday’s comic, folks. At the moment, life for me is a little rough, I’m working through some issues (financial and otherwise), but I’ve made the commitment to not miss an update, and I plan on keeping it… please forgive any late updates while I work through this, I won’t miss an update, but there may be a few late updates.
I was chatting with a friend of mine and they mentioned schadenfreude, and I had to look it up… I can’t express how happy I was to find this perfect word. I’d say it’s even better than defenestrate. I think that one of the greatest joys of exploring vocabulary is that often, one can find a single word that can be used instead of an entire sentence or two.
Anyway, I know I’ve been holding back on my political views, perhaps it’s an aversion to the risk of alienating you, my audience. I suppose that I shouldn’t worry too much about it, Lords of Kobol know how much I’ve complained about how Spielberg seems to have lost any sense of daring when it comes to making his films, for what appears to be a similar reason.
On the other hand, when I find a webcomic that throws in serious politically-motivated rants, I end up tuning them out and eventually giving up on the comic entirely. So ultimately, I’ll strike a neutral stance, I won’t push one wing’s agenda or another. I’ll simply say this:
PLEASE GO WATCH THIS: the Daily Show for 10/16/2008. John reviews the final debate, picks on both sides of the debate, talks to a (admittedly Obama-leaning) professor/author. He does a great job, I think. Also remember to check into Factcheck and to check what your own preferred party is saying about the other.
Well, another little note about World of Warcraft achievements… Don’t they seem completely, utterly pointless? Really, I just don’t see the point.
This weekend, I’m off to Folsom Renaissance Faire, off to hang out, have a good time. In the mean time, enjoy the comic, and maybe I’ll be able to tell you exactly what’s going on with those art cards on Monday
Cheers!

Ok, sorry for the late update, and the lack of a newspost Friday and Monday. Ben the Webmonkey was off at Blizzcon 2008, and I had forgotten that he was heading out of town for it…. That, and some personal issues I’m dealing with.
Silly me.
As an apology for being late, I’ll give you all a special peek at what I’m up to!
These are small art cards, 2.5″x3.5″! There are 4 here. I’ll be making a few more and using them as promotional cards. There are 4 here, another 5 are planned. More details as they come available!
Well, I better get this posted, so I’ll stop prattling on. More soon!
Aleric
