Ok, so I’m sure that by now you all have realized that some aspects of this comic are actually autobiographical. Yes, welcome to the space inside my head…
I bet you’re also equally convinced I’m absolutely terrible at doing these models, so I figured that I’d put up the latest project – Goblins.
Scabpikka is that dude up there in the middle with the big knife.
Cause it’s important for you to know.
Oh, Rossi.
Don’t you know by now that James doesn’t listen?
By the way, if you are an RSS subscriber and noticed the RSS feed no longer works, it’s because we switched to Comicpress. Just delete your old RSS subscription and re-subscribe up there at the menu bar.
(by the way, I had to completely redo today’s post. I’m still getting the hang of comicpress… sorry for the confusion.)
James taking Rossi on holiday? How can that possibly be good?
Maybe they’re going because of what’s going on over at www.scottv.com/zombots
Don’t worry though – more comics here on Wednesday.
I hope you’re all well-fed and happy from Thanksgiving, or at least, all the United States fans, anyway. I’ve been remiss in letting you all know about the other things going on around me, so here it is, the Katgirl has just released Holiday greeting cards! They’re available for sale and she can ship them to you immediately! Go check them out, then give your family the gift of great art from an emerging artist!
I really wanted to take some time with a couple of these and stretch my artistic legs. I haven’t had a chance to sit and really draw for some time, and I really enjoyed the opportunity. HHFM is (obviously) trucking along, and I’m in the final stages of prepping some more merchandise. I’ll be posting it first on the Facebook Fangroup, as it’s mostly a test run of some different merchandise… A small production run and limited selection. However, if you want to hear about it before it’s announced on the main site, GO SIGN UP!
In other news, I apologize about the poorly sized PDQ on Monday and Tuesday. As of today, it’s fixed. It was oversized because I sent the incomplete file to Webmonkey Ben, and he (as a matter of principle) doesn’t read the comics until it’s time to post them… so he didn’t see the error.
All. My. Fault.
One of the fans mentioned that I should take the little frames and make them animated .gifs for avatars… sounds like not a bad idea… having never made animated .gifs it might even be an interesting challenge. Is anyone else interested in more avatars? And yes, I know I need to do one of the Gnome. I’ll likely have a chance this weekend.
I know, this looks suspiciously like filler art, and you might be tempted to think “OHs NOES! Teh Aleric is falling behind!!” Quite the contrary, my friends. I’ve got comics finished and scheduled TWO MONTHS in advance. This is one I did as kind of an homage to Bill Watterson (creator of Calvin and Hobbes), who was a fantastic artist in his own right. I also wanted to let you all know that I actually have an existent Deviant Art account here. This is another of my projects: I’m committing to myself to update 1/week with at least 1 new piece… what I’m NOT sure about is which day of the week. I’m thinking Sunday night so that you’re guaranteed to have a new piece of art to look at while you’re surfing the web at work. What do you think?
And as always, don’t forget to VOTE!!
