Happy Cinco de Mayo! a day near and dear to anyone who lives even vaguely close to the United States’ southern border. A day MADE for eating taquitos, burritos, quesadillas, drinking and generally having a good time.
So, HHFM has been around, updating religiously for a whole MONTH! To celebrate, there’s a bunch of cool stuff going on this week, including a double-length comic, an EXTRA-special SUNDAY comic, and a brand-new EXTRAS section up, with a button for it over there on the left. Check it out and go ahead, pick out a banner and add it to your forum signature or website. Use one of the avatars I’ve made. (Some are even previews of upcoming comics… dun dun DUUUNNNN). More extras are coming soon, as soon as I get them done!
See, and here you thought that this was gonna be one of those webcomics that showed up, updated a few times, and then vanished, didn’t you? Admit it, I know you were thinking that. Lemme tell ya folks, I’ve got an update schedule all the way through to JUNE (and growing). I told ya… we gots PLANS.
Finally, HHFM has jumped all the way up to 360 on TWC! Isn’t that fantastic?? Go click on the button and let’s see how high we can get it!
Have a happy and SAFE Cinco de Mayo, everyone. And we’ll see you Wednesday!
Now that the raid’s done, I’m sure Rossi thought he’d get some real adventuring done. If you look closely, you might notice one gigantic glaring error. Ok more like a small bespectacled one. One of my readers called me on the continuity issue: (paraphrased to protect the innocent)
gnome…. from where?
Did I miss the comic where he shows up? wtf?
More More More HHFM!
-Jenn
Thanks for pointing that out, Jenn. To be honest, I pulled a comic or two out of the current arc, because I wanted to expand on it more later, but because I’m already working so far ahead of schedule, I totally forgot that I included that little guy standing next to Rossi…
Consequently, we’ve got our first serious continuity error. Congratulations Jenn, you win a gold star for the day! And thanks for the encouragement, I love hearing that people want more!
I know I mentioned that lots of changes are coming to HHFM’s site, and I’m sure you’ve all been terribly disappointed that you actually haven’t seen much change. Let me be the first to tell you that there have actually been a lot of changes… they just happen to be behind the curtain, under the hood, what have you. Trust me, there’s more website and content to come. I do promise you that, so stay tuned.
Finally, HHFM is currently hovering somewhere around 525 on Top Web Comics. Please remember to vote! I loves me mah voterz! You get free jokes and images when you vote. Really! So please remember to clicky the linky, then go tell a friend to read HHFM. It shouldn’t be painful. I have yet to break a finger clicking a link.
Keep your eyes on this site, because it will keep getting updated, and I don’t mean just the comic. Soon you will see more links, more features, better images, RSS feeds, and lots of other things! We gots Plans, baby!
Just a little note, there are some things I forgot to mention the first time around:
We update Monday-Wednesday-Friday, and my current comic drawing schedule has found me with more than a month of comics that are ready to go, so stick around, this comic certainly isn’t going to fade away or fail to update… That is, unless some random unforeseeable event happens, like a meteor falls out of the sky and lands on my head.
Another big thank you that I really should send out is to all the members of my WoW guild, Grimhorn Tribe. Not only are they among the coolest people I have ever met online, but they are an unending font of wisdom and wit. Cheers!
Today’s Comic: Press Ganged.
Introducing the ineffable Rossi! How do you know his name? It’s because you’re psychic and you know these things…
Enjoy! And I’ll see you all on Monday!
I’m Scott Aleric, the writer, artist, and all-around creator of this webcomic. I hope you’ll enjoy reading this comic as much as I enjoy making it! It takes a lot of effort to get a comic up and running, and I’d like to thank a few of the people that helped me get to this point…
Thanks to:
Mom and Dad. Thanks for your support and encouragement, and your bottomless well of tolerance for all my bad jokes over the years.
My sisters. Humor begets humor, and I wouldn’t be inflicting my wit on the rest of the world if you didn’t laugh at me first (or were you laughing with me?).
Ben, my Web Guru. Your input and insights are matched only by your genius. Yeah, I know. It’s easy to impress me. Don’t be so modest.
My Girlfriend, who puts up with me, even though I torture her with the WURST PUNCHLINES EVAR (even worse than the family had to put up with).
There are hundreds of other people I’d love to mention here, but I’m sure you’d get tired of reading a list of names pretty quick, so we’ll just stop there. Suffice it to say, humorists take inspiration where it strikes them. Consequently, the entire world is their inspiration… So really, thank YOU.
Hell Has Found Me was originally conceived as a comic about two characters as they explored and played World of Warcraft. As I wrote and explored the characters, I learned that their universe encompassed more than just the algorithm-laden, animated-pixelated-scripted world that WoW represents. So sit back and enjoy as James, Rossi and the rest of the gang explore their world, and maybe, just maybe, laugh now and then.
