This is the 1 year Anniversary for Hell Has Found Me. As a bit of fun, I thought I’d do a special long comic and then add this in too:
OK, OK. The ‘Sticklers’ out there are going to say “Oi! You can’t have yer anniversary today! It’s actually tomorrow that it’s been one year!” To them, I say, “I wanted Pie.”
We all know that by now, when Aleric has something special going on, he tortures himself with more work. Maybe he’s trying to prove himself to the Webcomics community, but really between you and me, I just think he’s crazy. SO… Aleric is putting on a Captioning contest!
Send in your best captions for this comic, and the winner will receive an “Thwacky Time” T-Shirt and the full set of Buttons! You can EMAIL ME (up at the top under Contact)! Seriously! I want to see all of your ideas!
Remember the Characters are Travinity and Rossi, so just give me what they’re saying and I’ll pick the best one and then share it with you all! This contest will last until Friday, April 10th.
In the mean time, I shall have Pie.
Ok, sorry for the late update, and the lack of a newspost Friday and Monday. Ben the Webmonkey was off at Blizzcon 2008, and I had forgotten that he was heading out of town for it…. That, and some personal issues I’m dealing with.
Silly me.
As an apology for being late, I’ll give you all a special peek at what I’m up to!
These are small art cards, 2.5″x3.5″! There are 4 here. I’ll be making a few more and using them as promotional cards. There are 4 here, another 5 are planned. More details as they come available!
Well, I better get this posted, so I’ll stop prattling on. More soon!
Aleric
Another holiday here for you all, and this one is a shout out to my own dad.
People always talk rather abstractly about how they have “special relationships” with their own figures. That some kind of bond exists between the parent and child that no one can really break. Well, without trying to be to cliche, I must admit that I, too have a special relationship. It’s not something that I can really explain (I don’t know if anyone really can) and it goes beyond love and respect.
Dad, you’ve always been an inspiration, someone I’ve looked up to my entire life. To me, you’re far more than a role model, an authority figure, the know-all, see-all, wise master of all he surveys… Yes, far more than all of that. You’re my dad.
Happy dad’s day. Thanks for supporting me in all my crazy ideas, picking me up and dusting me off when I’ve fallen down, and being there every time I’ve needed you.
Welcome to our extra super special MOM’S day edition… with COLOR.
(gasp!)
May you all find a moment to tell your mothers how special they all are… and no, I don’t mean ’short yellow bus special’.
To my own mum: Thanks for being there when I needed you, and letting me go when I needed to find my way. The firm hand when needed and the gentle hand when warranted. I will always carry part of you with me, a legacy of wisdom and love.
…and occasionally, a really good laugh.
And yes, you’re at least partially responsible for this comic.
Oh hey, did I mention? Send this comic to your friends, your mothers, your friend’s mothers, your mother’s friends… and then vote.
