Hey folks,
I just wanted to take a moment and say, this was an extraordinarily hard decision for me. I’ve been agonizing over it for about a month, and even though I haven’t updated in over a week, I could at least tell myself that “yeah, it’s still running”.
The truth of the matter is that I feel like I’m struggling with HHFM. I love the characters and I love the quasi-world that has been evolving in the background, the weird things that happen, from Santa Claus to Dire Kiwis to robot eating devices. But if I’m struggling to find comics, then I’m not making funny ones and I’m doing a disservice to myself and to you.
So I’m putting HHFM on the shelf for a while. I’m planning on coming back to it – it’s just too much fun to put off forever. Know that I’ll still upload the occasional comic or sketch, so you know I’m still thinking of you all. Besides, if I leave it alone too long, the Potentate Popcorn and the rest of the brownies may try to take over, and we just can’t have that, can we?
In the mean time, I’ll be updating Zombots (though that site desperately needs a facelift as well) and I’ll be working on other projects as well (a book for HHFM isn’t entirely out of the question).
See you again soon,
With warmest wishes,
Scott Aleric
I think I’m more looking forward to the fact that it’s all finally over than the fact that there are no more to come.
Mad props to the cast for sticking with it all through these years, it’s a hell of an accomplishment. More so to the fact that the fans stuck with the films and the author. I guess that’s proof of a great series.
Anyway, more to do. I’ll catch you all later – and actually have seen the film by the time the next one comes around.
Hey! It’s Friday!
You know what else? I forgot to mention that I’ll be in Sacramento this weekend hanging out with Jeremy Rathbone for his Release the Zombots! event! I’ll be drawing Zombots and chatting with people. If you’re in the area, you should come by!
otherwise – looks like George is finally back home. You have to kind of wonder how he did it…
