This concludes Chapter 1. I certainly hoped you enjoyed it.
This was my first real attempt at an extended long-term story arc, and I must say, I learned a lot. Some of the lessons were painful, some boring and entirely uninteresting. One of the main things I’ve learned is that I really must have more time before I take HHFM to any more extended storylines. We’ll be going back to single strips for the foreseeable future, also because I’m kicking around some other really fun ideas that I want to do. You’ll get a sneak peek in a few days of the main project, but I’m aiming at most of the real stuff starting after the first of the year.
I’m already looking forward to next year, and the projects I’m lining up for it now. So hold tight. In the mean time, please enjoy the PDQs and the rather random Colada updates
Remember, the Katgirl and I will be at APE in San Francisco with our friend Erin from Timothy Green!
This weekend is 24-Hour Comic Book Day! My local Comic book store, Illusive Comics is hosting a 12-hour run, from noon till midnight, Pacific Standard Time (For all you international viewers, that’s GMT -7 I believe). I’ll be down there with some of my other favorite cartoonists banging away at 12 new pages of comic fun!
Better still, I’ll be bringing my Webcam and Streaming on Ustream. When we’re live, I’ll be posting the link on my Twitter feed (which I’ve been neglecting… sorry). If you’re vaguely local to Santa Clara and want to distract us hard-working cartoonists, COME AND VISIT. Here’s a link to the Google Map.
Once it’s over, I’ll find some neat way to share with you the work I will have completed.
New HHFM on Monday and a PDQ on Tuesday! WHEE!
This weekend, I’ll be at Illusive Comics from noon till midnight, working on a 12-hour comic challenge with other cartoonists.
Come by and visit! I might even chat with you between scribbling frantically on some paper.
APE is coming soon! We will be there, too!
This weekend I’m not going anywhere, so I’m going to spend this “free” time to actually get caught up on my buffer
No really.
Expect a PDQ for Monday and more news.and look, there’s George!
