Happy Halloween! What are you all going to be for Halloween? I think Rossi is having a bit of an issue. Hopefully, he can figure something out… it’s only two days away!
In other news, in two more updates, there’s something SPECIAL I get to talk about, and no, I don’t mean who’s finally won the Presidency, though, it will be an interesting topic of discussion, to be sure. On the one hand, you’ll have Senator McCain, who’s currently doing his best to ignore the numbers and say he’s going to win. On the other hand, you’ve got Senator Obama, who’s still campaigning as if he was still behind in the polls. Whoever wins will (hopefully) be up to the American people, who are informing the Electoral College how to cast their votes. Lords of Kobol forbid we have a repeat of the 2000 and 2004 elections, where the winner was determined by the Supreme Court.
Democracy by judicial determination is not something I really like the idea of. My point being? GO OUT AND VOTE. Be you an early voter or someone who’s going to line up on Nov 4, just GIT ‘ER DONE.
Oh, and while you’re at it, VOTE for ME, too! A new PDQ went up on Monday.

Another holiday here for you all, and this one is a shout out to my own dad.
People always talk rather abstractly about how they have “special relationships” with their own figures. That some kind of bond exists between the parent and child that no one can really break. Well, without trying to be to cliche, I must admit that I, too have a special relationship. It’s not something that I can really explain (I don’t know if anyone really can) and it goes beyond love and respect.
Dad, you’ve always been an inspiration, someone I’ve looked up to my entire life. To me, you’re far more than a role model, an authority figure, the know-all, see-all, wise master of all he surveys… Yes, far more than all of that. You’re my dad.
Happy dad’s day. Thanks for supporting me in all my crazy ideas, picking me up and dusting me off when I’ve fallen down, and being there every time I’ve needed you.

To my own mum: Thanks for being there when I needed you, and letting me go when I needed to find my way. The firm hand when needed and the gentle hand when warranted. I will always carry part of you with me, a legacy of wisdom and love.
…and occasionally, a really good laugh.

Happy Cinco de Mayo! a day near and dear to anyone who lives even vaguely close to the United States’ southern border. A day MADE for eating taquitos, burritos, quesadillas, drinking and generally having a good time.
So, HHFM has been around, updating religiously for a whole MONTH! To celebrate, there’s a bunch of cool stuff going on this week, including a double-length comic, an EXTRA-special SUNDAY comic, and a brand-new EXTRAS section up, with a button for it over there on the left. Check it out and go ahead, pick out a banner and add it to your forum signature or website. Use one of the avatars I’ve made. (Some are even previews of upcoming comics… dun dun DUUUNNNN). See, and here you thought that this was gonna be one of those webcomics that showed up, updated a few times, and then vanished, didn’t you? Admit it, I know you were thinking that. Lemme tell ya folks, I’ve got an update schedule all the way through to JUNE (and growing). I told ya… we gots PLANS.
