Hey folks! Hope you all had a good weekend, I certainly did. A friend of mine got married, met a number of really cool people through there (Hi, Mimi!), great conversations (we have to to it again soon, Ryan!) and spent a raft of money on books – (all the Borders are closing). Picked up an awesome classic Warhound Titan (not that I expect you to know what that’s all about.
Anyway. Talk to you all again Wednesday!
I think I’m more looking forward to the fact that it’s all finally over than the fact that there are no more to come.
Mad props to the cast for sticking with it all through these years, it’s a hell of an accomplishment. More so to the fact that the fans stuck with the films and the author. I guess that’s proof of a great series.
Anyway, more to do. I’ll catch you all later – and actually have seen the film by the time the next one comes around.
Ok, so I didn’t actually meet this fairy, but I can well imagine…
So, a more in-depth report of Wondercon:
A three-day con, probably the 2nd biggest comics convention in California outside of Comicon, the con was in one big hall, while the panels were held in side rooms throughout the Moscone Convention center.
I drew people as zombies on 4×6″ cards for $5 each, distributed comics and occasionally wandered around (read: kicked out of my chair) the con. Got a signature from Robert Kirkman, author of the Walking Dead, and Max Brooks, author of Zombie Survival Guide and World War Z! Ran buy the Legend of the Seeker fan booth a couple times and won some of their fain contests (I’m not a dork, really) and much, much more.
Coolest of all, I met Jeremy Rathbone of Munkie Revolution, and saw that he’s got a Kickstarter up to help him complete his Release the Zombots project. Go and give him money (I did)! I also bought one of his Zombot prints too. If you’re not convinced this project needs backing, LOOK AT THIS:
Wow. Wondercon was suberb. Really great fun.
Thanks to everyone who dropped in and said ‘hey’! Hearing from all of you is actually really inspiring.
New comic on Wed, sorry for the “filler” today. More other stuff coming soon!
